Accessibility statement

What this site does so it can be used with a keyboard, a screen reader, and with motion turned down.

Target level

We aim at WCAG 2.1 level AA. Below is what is already in place and where the gaps still are — the second list is usually missing from statements like this, and without it the statement is worth nothing.

What is in place

  • Contrast. Body text exceeds 4.5:1 against the background; secondary text sits at 5.7:1. A higher-contrast mode is available in the accessibility panel.
  • Keyboard. The whole site is operable by keyboard. Focus indicators are visible and never removed. The first Tab reveals a "Skip to content" link.
  • Semantics. Heading order is consistent: one h1 per page, sections as h2, subsections as h3. Landmarks (header, nav, main, aside, footer) are used.
  • Motion. prefers-reduced-motion is respected. The presentation does not rotate on its own when that is set, and motion can also be stopped manually.
  • Sound. Never starts by itself — only when you press the button.
  • Touch targets. Buttons and form controls are at least 44×44 px.
  • Text size. The panel scales text to 150% without the layout breaking. Browser zoom is not blocked.
  • Language. Every page declares its language so screen readers pronounce it correctly.

Known gaps

  • Presentation videos currently have no captions or audio description. They are decorative and muted, and all information appears as text beside them — but that is not a complete answer.
  • The reading ruler works with a pointer or touch only, not with a keyboard.
