Commission music

Tell us what the music is for and what it has to do — a proposal with timing and price comes back within two business days.

Before you fill this in

Three things move the price more than anything else, so they are worth thinking about first:

  • Usage scope. One café, one country or worldwide — this is a licensing question, and it changes the price by multiples rather than percentages.
  • Length. Thirty seconds and ninety minutes are different jobs, even at the same mood.
  • Deadline. We can take rush work, but it costs more — and we say so at the start rather than on the invoice.

If you do not know an answer yet, write "not sure". That is an honest starting point and usually more accurate than a guess.

What is the music for?
What the project is, the mood you are after, where the music plays and what it should do to whoever hears it.
The single biggest factor in price: the same music for one café and for an international campaign differs in licence scope, not in hours of work.
Links to what you like — and, if you have them, to what is definitely wrong. The second list is often the more useful one.

We use this only to prepare your proposal; see our Privacy Policy.
