Denmark is the outlier worth watching: a proposed Copyright Act amendment would treat a person's voice and appearance as a neighbouring right rather than a personality interest.
The difference is not cosmetic. A neighbouring right can be assigned, licensed and administered by collecting societies — meaning royalties for use of a voice could be collected the way they are for use of a recording.
In a Lithuanian context that raises the question of whether such royalties would be administered by AGATA, which already administers performers' neighbouring rights.
